Matt Seubert
Matt has lived in Urbana since 2008. He first became engaged in county politics in 2013 over concern about the environmental and financial impacts of the incinerator. He is a registered Republican and fiscal conservative. As a member of RALE, he actively opposed the unbridled development pursued by the Blaine Young BOCC in south-east Frederick County. He strongly feel that roads, schools and other infrastructure are inadequate to handle the pipeline of approved homes, which he believes conflict with the objectives of the 2010 comprehensive plan. More recently, Matt became the president of RALE. He was born and raised in Montgomery county, but has deep family roots in Frederick County, going back to his great grandparents who lived in Emmitsburg and Thurmont. He's a retired CPA and currently works as "Mr. Mom" for his family.
