“Growing Cities” Screening at the Delaplaine

There’s a new documentary out right now that highlights the urban farming explosion that’s currently sweeping across the US. It’s called “Growing Cities” and it’s getting a lot of press. Along with the help of my friend Torey at the Lucas Village Community Garden and the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center, we’re bringing this awesome documentary to downtown Frederick on May 22nd.

Anyone wishing to attend should purchase tickets HERE. Tickets are only $5.00, which is a great price to see this new, insightful film about American ingenuity. After the film, a few local Frederick urban farmers, myself included, will be leading a discussion about the new urban farm projects happening in Frederick right now.

Any profit made on ticket sales will go directly to the Lucas Village Community Garden to help them get their first season off the ground, so please share this post, tell your friends and come out to the Delaplaine on Thursday May 22nd from 6:00pm to 8:30pm for a fun, inspiring evening of film and conversation.

Please RSVP at our Facebook event page and purchase tickets online at our Eventbrite page.
