League of Women Voters to hold Public Forum on Redistricting Reform

LWVlogosquareOn Wednesday, February 24 at 6:15 p.m. the League of Women Voters of Frederick County is holding the Public Forum on Redistricting Reform.

It will be at the C. Burr Artz Library in downtown Frederick. The program will start with an introduction on Redistricting based on work done by the board of the League of Women Voters of Maryland, which will be followed by a presentation from Mr. Walter Olson, the co-chair of the Governor’s task force on Redistricting. He will be talking about the recommendations of the task force and the bill that was introduced as a result of the task force and is currently working its way through the legislative process.

This will be followed by a question and answer session. The Redistricting bill is SB-380 which is scheduled for a hearing on March 3rd.
