MAEOE to host largest state environmental education conference in the nation

The Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education ( MAEOE ) Annual Conference is the largest state environmental education conference in the nation. Join us for our milestone event, our 30th anniversary event and conference.

The conference will be in Ocean City, from Thursday, February 5, 2015 to Sunday, February 8, 2015.

• Keynote address by J. Drew Lanham, Professor of Wildlife Ecology at Clemson University

• Professional Development Institute on Thursday (in-depth workshops to build skills and knowledge)

• Over 50 Saturday Workshops
• Exhibit Hall and Silent Auction
• Saturday Night Social with live band
• Over 500+ participants expected for networking opportunities and contacts
• Howard Hughes Medical Institute Movie Screening
• Kids’ Program and Make and Take sessions

The Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1985 and has been working in the state since that time to advance an understanding of the natural world and how it functions. MAEOE also coordinates an Environmental Education Certificate program, administers the Maryland Green Schools and Green Centers Program and hosts an annual Youth Summit with over 2500 students attending the program.

Vision: MAEOE seeks to develop a Maryland citizenry that understands and is engaged in responsible environmental behavior and stewardship.

Mission: MAEOE promotes excellence in environmental education by training and supporting Maryland educators.
