Presentation (June 20th): Livable Frederick and East Frederick Rising

Join us on Tuesday evening at the new McClintock Distilling Company, in downtown Frederick, for a free and informative presentation and discussion about Livable Frederick and East Frederick Rising, two separate but related and important, groundbreaking initiatives currently underway in Frederick County and the City of Frederick.

These two planning efforts are bringing into practice a variety of innovative planning approaches and techniques that broaden the capability and range of possible outcomes across the county and in the city. Both processes will be explored, along with the tools and techniques that are – or will be used – to create higher quality development with a key component being citizen involvement.

David Whitaker, the head of Comprehensive Planning for Frederick County will introduce the interrelationship and importance of these two efforts. A key county planner, John Dimitriou, and the Chair of East Frederick Rising’s Planning and Urban Design Committee, Alan Feinberg, will walk everyone through the PowerPoint presentations with time for hearing about what’s next and questions.
