One month ago this evening, on Thursday, March 26, Envision Frederick County held it’s first annual Envision Spring fundraising dinner, with special guest speaker Heather Mizeur.
As our first such event, we were a little apprehensive about getting everything right, and putting on an fun and engaging event. As it turned out, due to the efforts of a lot of people and the support of others, the evening was a great success!
First of all, thank you, Heather Mizeur, for being an inspiring part of our ENVISION Spring 2015 event at ThorpeWood!
Thank you also to those who helped put the event together, who volunteered to help at the event, and everyone who came to the dinner or purchased a ticket for someone else. Without your support, and attendance, we wouldn’t have had a wonderful evening to remember!
In addition, I would like to specifically thank Julie and Sam Castleman of ThorpeWood for providing such a beautiful and perfect venue; Jake Sgueo and all the folks at Renaissance Chef Catering for doing such a great job; Will Cassatt for the beautiful music during the reception; Dennis Crews for being the photographer for the event, and everyone else who helped in any way.
Separately, I would like to thank the members of the Board of Directors of Envision Frederick County for their efforts and creativity and support, most especially the event organizing committee of Aaron Valentino, Elizabeth Bauer and Ellen Kreis. And, as always, a note of thank you to board member Patrice Gallagher for designing the invitation and the program.
We plan to make this an annual event! And while we are thrilled it went so well, we’ve learned a few things from the experience and look forward to making it an even better event in the future.
Again, thank you!
The program is below. But it leaves out one thing that we did not put on the program — a surprise acknowledgement, collective expression of gratitude, and a gift, for former County Commissioner David Gray, for his many years of dedication and service to our community. In case you didn’t see it in January, we were pleased to announce then that David had became a member of the Envision Frederick County Board of Directors (along with addition of Kevin Lollar at the same time).
Below the program are a few dozen photos from the event.
