Tuesday, June 3rd is last day to register to vote in June 24th primary

Tomorrow — TUESDAY, JUNE 3 — is your last chance to register to vote or change your voter registration before the Primary Election in Frederick County (and throughout Maryland) on June 24, 2014.

The primary is only three weeks away.

Early Voting for the Primary Election begins in just ten days, running from Thursday, June 12, 2014 through Thursday, June 19, 2014.

Voter Registration Eligibility

Am I eligible to register to vote?

To register to vote, you must be:

• A U.S. citizen;

• A Maryland resident; and

• At least 16 years old*.

You cannot have been:

• Convicted of buying or selling votes;

• Found by a court to be incapable of voting by reason of mental disability; or

• Convicted of a felony or if you have, you have completed a court-ordered sentence of imprisonment, including any term of parole or probation for the conviction.

*You may register to vote if you are at least 16 years old but cannot vote unless you will be at least 18 years old by the next general election.
