Do you want to learn more about water quality challenges facing the Monocacy River Watershed and what you can do on your own property to protect our water resources?
How does a stormwater pond work?
Can I swim in my local creek?
Where does my drinking water come from?
Join the Clean Water Frederick team at the Thurmont Public Library this Saturday morning, March 11th, for a free Watershed Workshop, or next Saturday, March 18th, at the Walkersville Town Hall, or on Saturday, May 6th, in the Villages of Urbana.
The Walkersville workshop is oriented to residents of the Waterside community in Frederick City and their upcoming project to plant a forested buffer zone on the Monocacy River (more details here), but everyone is invited.
We’ll have snacks and activities for kids!
