Zero Waste? Join Us for Practical Ideas (September 30th)

Envision Frederick County is very pleased to co-sponsor this highly worthwhile event. Please join us! Kick off your weekend with an engaging and motivating…and free…morning session with our outstanding presenters.

DESCRIPTION

Now that Frederick County’s “What’s Next” process is wrapping up, it’s likely that the County will work to implement a program to divert organics from our landfill. The program is projected to divert about 40,000 tons per year away from the landfill. This is great!!

However, there will still be 97,000 tons of material per year still headed to landfill. What additional things can we do, besides diverting organics, to keep more material out of the landfill?

ELECTED OFFICIALS AND CANDIDATES:

This is especially important for you. Practical programs will be presented.
How can you increase recycling rates in your municipality? What else can be done to divert materials from the landfill?

These programs can save money!
