Envision Essentials, which are deep dive programs covering current issues and events and other topics focused on developing and maintaining a sustainable, engaged community of county residents. Invited speakers are subject matter experts, elected officials, county or city staff, and leaders with local advocacy groups. Attendees have opportunities for discussion, networking, and developing approaches to address county issues.
Get Out the Vote efforts, starting with an Essentials information and training session, followed by canvassing to help turn out voters interested in environmental and sustainability issues.
Webinars, alone and with partners, on local food, climate change, sustainable land management,
and many others.
Outdoor events, including
- a walk conducted by the African American Resources and Cultural Heritage organization (AARCH)
- nature walks with local naturalists, farmers, and others
- Sugarloaf through Aquatic Eyes, an educational event highlighting the need for a proposed conservation overlay to protect flora and fauna in the Sugarloaf Treasured Landscape Management Plan
- ecosystems education at The REED Center farm
Green Drinks, social/educational events on topics like solar power, pollinators, land preservation, affordable housing and more
