Our mission calls for us to educate Frederick County’s residents about our four priorities: smart growth, the environment, economic equity/vitality and citizen engagement. We do this through a variety of program types, some of which have evolved as our community copes with the pandemic (webinars), and some that have deep roots in Frederick County’s environmental community (Green Drinks).
Here you can learn about these programs, as well as take time to get involved in them!

Envision Essentials
Envision Essentials, a series of workshops featuring local experts on environment, land use/smart growth and economic & climate equity and government, kicks off for the summer of 2022 on Saturday, April 30.
Essentials is a deep dive into these four topics, with a half-day of hearing from experts on the topics, a networking/discussion lunch for a more in-depth conversation and, in some cases, a community visit to a site related to the topic.

Green Drinks
This Frederick County institution, begun by Rich Maranto of Going Green Maryland and held off and on in the past decade (pandemic dependent) is offering two sessions through Envision Frederick County in March and April 2022. Click here for details!
